White Chocolate Cake Balls

What to do with left-over cake scraps again..lol! I used a bit of leftover buttercream to put the scraps together and rolled them into balls; coat them with white chocolate and sprinkle little chocolate-rice & hearts and there they are...yummy white-chocolate cake balls!  :) Surprisingly they tasted better than what i had expected.  I should have freeze the cake balls before dipping them into the white chocolate because i didn't, the cake mixture was seeping a bit into the white chocolate so i had difficulty handling it and hence the white chocolate coating isn't very smooth. :P

  6. Love your cake balls, Faithy. I did something similar with leftover choc cake, however, I stopped at "freezing the mixture", haha. It's still in the freezer, ha ha. I have an "all girls" party coming up with my girlfriends. Maybe I should make the balls and dip them in choc for the party :o)

  8. Cake balls are one of my faves at parties!! Yes, I'm gonna use up leftover cake scraps by turning it into cake balls ... But, I think I'm probably gonna stick with dark chocolate ganache coating!! Whatever it is, cake balls are delish!

  9. Coo, I often have bits of chopped up sponge cake that lives in a tin for giving to Ted at snack time. Brilliant idea to do something with them!
